Product Tip: Switch, Stop or Restart Your SmartGo Plan

We are doing a series of blog posts illustrating our unique and easy to use interface. Our goal is to help you get the most of your Go Travel Router and Go Travel Pro Cellular Hotspot Router product.

In this article we describe how to use your My Go panel to change, suspend or reactivate your SmartGo Plan. One of the key advantages of Go Connect’s no contract data plans is the ability to easily switch, start or stop your plan. The best part is unlike other providers, Go Connect never charges fees. There are no activation, switching or membership fees charged when stopping and restarting your plan.

Connection To Access My Go Panel

You will need internet access in order to reach the Go Connect website. Go Connects with a cellular SmartGo plan that are activate, or have been active within the last 90 days will be able to act as the internet connection for reaching the Go Connect website. Devices that do not have cellular or have not have an activate plan for an extended period of time will need another internet connection to access the My Go panel. Connecting through your Go Connect device to manage your account is not required.

Go Connect My Go Panel

The Go Connect My Go panel is easily accessible from the Go Connect GoTravel Mobile App or Go Connect website. It allows you to see key information about your Go Connect orders, devices, and subscriptions, as well as your billing information and profile details.

Information you will find in the Go Connect My Go panel:
  • List of all orders
  • A list of any subscriptions, active or inactive
  • Any registered devices as well as any default passwords
  • Your on file payment methods
  • Your account details such as billing and shipping details.
  • Easy access to support

Changing SmartGo Plans

To switch to a different SmartGo plan head over to the My Go panel and click on ‘Your SmartGo Plans’. You will see a list of plans. Click ‘View’ on the active plan. Within the plan details you will see a ‘Change Plan’ button.

You will be taken to a screen presenting you with the available plans to switch to. Select the plan you would like to change to. Once you’ve selected you will be taken to the checkout screen.

The new plan you selected is more expensive you will be charged the difference in price between the new plan and the old plan. If the plan you selected is less expensive, the change will take effect at the start of the next billing period.

You will need to complete the checkout for the change to take effect. If you cancel out of the process at any time before checking out, your plan will remain the same.

Stopping SmartGo Plan

To switch to a different SmartGo plan head over to the My Go panel and click on ‘Your SmartGo Plans’. You will see a list of plans. Click ‘View’ on the active plan. Within the plan details you will see a ‘Cancel’ button. Plans will stop at the end of the currently monthly term. Currently we do not offer the way to cancel early.

Restarting SmartGo Plan

To restart your SmartGo plan head over to the My Go panel and click on ‘Your SmartGo Plans’. You will see a list of plans. Click ‘View’ on the active plan. Within the plan details you will see a ‘Resubscribe’ button. You will be taken to the checkout page to complete the purchase of the initial months term.
