Getting Connected To Your Go Connect

We are doing a series of blog posts illustrating our unique and easy to use interface. Our goal is to help you get the most of your Go Travel Router and Go Travel Pro Cellular Hotspot Router product.
In this article we describe how to get connected to your Go Connect device initially. We also will point you at guides that explain how to use Go Connect’s GoTravel app to do manage the initial configuration on your new Go Connect device or how to manually setup your Go Connect.
Initial Device Connection

1. Install Go Connect GoTravel App
The initial device setup is easy. Even before your Go Connect device arrives you can go ahead and iInstall the Go Connect GoTravel App on your iPhone or Android device.
2. Plug In Your Device

When you get your new Go Connect device delivered via UPS, take it out of the box and plug it in. It will take a few seconds to power up. The power port is under the left antenna.
3. Connect to the Go Connect WiIFi Network
Once it has powered up and you see the light turn from green to blue green (or see the blue light) the Go Connect will be available via a WiFi network named GoConnect with 4 letters and/or numbers. Early devices has an open network, later devices shipped with a default password available in your My Go admin panel. As part of the setup process we’ll help you set a password so only you and the people you authorize can access your private Go Connect network.

Your Go Connect default WiFi network name and password can be found in your My Go Devices and Default Passwords page.
Device Setup

If you have received a new device, or if you had to do a factory reset on your Go Connect you will generally be promoted to run the device setup. This process is brief, you only need to answer a few questions. If the device setup did not kick off, and you are presented with a login screen you can either
- Try closing the app and reopening it AFTER connecting to your Go Connect WiFi network (details above)
- Login using the default device admin password and manually configuring the device.

Configuring Your Go Connect

You can change your Go Connect device admin password, as well as change the Go Connect private WiFI network or password at any time through the Security tab in the GoTravel App. Simply login in (using the default password, if needed) and click on the “Security” tab at the bottom of the screen.
